CABO SAN LUCAS, MEXICO

Indeed, there is liquid magic to be found on earth.  A wealth of this magic lies at the tip of the Baja California peninsula.  Combined with the endless stretch of beaches, Los Cabos is rich in both land and sea offering a year-round beach lover’s heaven. The coast twists and curves, bends and winds, snakes and swerves its way from the bustling town of San Jose to the stunning grand finale at El Arco, the famed arch rock formation marking the very end of the peninsula.  The beaches are glorious, seemingly unending swaths of glistening white sand with calm, crystal clear waters filled with multi-colored fish – a snorkeler’s paradise!

In addition to fabulous beaches, Los Cabos offers many other exciting activities.  Cabo San Lucas is a small, bustling town that centers around a long swimming beach and full-service marina.  The scenic corridor, a 20-mile ride east to colonial San Jose del Cabo, is discreetly studded with jewel toned bays and beautiful resorts.  San Jose, itself, is laid back and slightly inland giving it a different flavor.  Between the two cities, you can hike, horseback ride, play a challenging round of golf, deep sea fish, or just explore the back roads of this Mexican paradise.  The choice is yours!

After an exhilarating day, it’s time to relax and unwind with a delicious dinner.  Los Cabos offers everything from first class cuisine to tasty tacos. Dine around the world with Italian, Japanese, Continental, and, of course, Mexican cuisine.  Then, if you like, top the night off in any one of the several nightclubs in Cabo San Lucas.  Just don’t stay out too late, tomorrow begins another day in paradise!

HYATT ZIVA LOS CABOS

Recently re-opened in September 2015, the Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos is marking Hyatt’s entry into the all-inclusive market as part of a partnership with Playa Hotels & Resorts.  This property recently underwent a multimillion-dollar renovation in 2015 to make it one of the premier all-inclusive properties in Los Cabos, meeting all the Hyatt standards of excellence.  This all-inclusive, all-suite resort features refreshingly stylish touches and innovative design.

Eight dining venues are spread about the California hacienda-designed property.   There are two buffet restaurants, one serving mostly Mexican entrees, the other following a more international slant. Numerous live cooking stations are available throughout the day. The six specialty restaurants leave no menu overturned. There is an outdoor seafood restaurant that also serves pizza from its clay ovens, a steak house on a wooden terrace facing the beach that serves delicious cuts of meat, a French dining room decorated in nostalgic style, a Japanese restaurant with a tatami room, teppanyaki table, and sushi bar, a modern Italian room for pasta-lovers, and a Spanish restaurant. In addition, the American sports bar remains active with constant games on display and a flowing bar, while evenings heat up in the theater with live entertainment shows and karaoke.

Numerous seating areas and chaise lounges with shaded sections and free-flowing bars, with a handful of Bali beds set up on the beach, surround three large swimming pools. The swim-up section of the pool is popular, as is the infinity-edge pool fronting the shoreline.  Hammocks, tepid whirlpools, water fountains and island fire pits set in the reflecting ponds provide endless choices for relaxation during the day or night. The beach volleyball court and organized pool activities prove popular, and the adult pool revels in quiet.  The beach, as at most San Jose del Cabo hotels, is steep and has powerful pummeling waves.

A full-service spa offers pampering in 16 private treatment cabins and three beachside palapas for private outdoor treatments. It has all the toys: private indoor pool and whirlpool, two bubble beds, a hydro-reflexology bench, and swan-neck water jet, saunas, steam rooms, beauty salon and relaxation areas.

Your spacious junior suite features beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean from the private balcony or terrace.  Each room features 40-inch flat-screen TVs, iPod docking stations, and stylish armchairs with matching sofas adding to the modern look. The TVs control everything from the curtains to the overhead fan, air-conditioning, Internet access and lights.  The fully stocked complimentary minibars and the coffeemakers are nice touches.
